Photograph by Claudia MorrayI am a dedicated Reiki Master/Teacher trained by Beverly Farris, RMT in the Usui Shiki Ryoho tradition with a direct lineage from Dr. Mikao Usui, founder of the Reiki system of healing.

Additionally, I have received Shinpiden (Reiki teacher training) from Frans Stiene, International House of Reiki.

I also am a  Karuna Reiki®  Master/Teacher. I offer Karuna Reiki classes to interested Reiki Master Practitioners.

The word Reiki is formed by two Japanese words, rei and ki, which are simply defined as universal life energy.  Reiki is also a term used to describe the healing method that was formalized in the nineteenth century by a Japanese monk, Dr. Mikao Usui.

As my teacher, Beverly Farris states, “Reiki is a time honored, sacred method of bringing balance and harmony to the body, mind, and the soul. It operates on the physical, mental and spiritual levels and acts as a connection with the ever-flowing light energy of the universe. This natural healing energy flows through the hands of a Reiki giver.”

My experience as a Reiki Master/Teacher includes dedicated self-practice; treatments in individual, group and clinic settings; and teaching  classes in First Degree, Second Degree and Master Practitioner levels.

I provide ongoing support for my students and other local Reiki practitioners individually and in monthly practitioner groups.

I offer introductory Reiki experiences to community groups and non-profit organizations as a gift to outreach this practice.

Sharing this work, whether providing treatments, training students or offering community outreach, is a privilege and a joy.   Reiki is priceless; I am committed to offering opportunities for others to experience Reiki in ways that are affordable and accessible.

In addition to my work as a  Master/Teacher, I have been a practicing Spiritual Director for 18 years. I am an experienced retreat facilitator and have led dozens of small groups in the Davis community.

Currently, I am a  Healing Touch Practitioner – Apprentice and engaged in work to become a Certified Healing Touch Practitioner.
